No blue roses

i tried for a long time and gave up. traded two gold roses for some blue ones. might do the same for purple pansies. lol.

so weird. i had a field of blue roses. then i didn't play for several weeks. when i logged in, only 1 was left, and it was a dead grey rose. then i watered it and it became blue rose again.

it seems the game doesn't wanna kill off every flower you have. it leaves you one. that single blue rose i have will not die.. it will just go grey again and stay there waiting to be watered, but it won't disappear like all the other ones did.

Some flowers go weeks without wilting or being watered by hand or by the weather. I opened my 2009 Wild World game, just for fun, and only my golden roses existed. :(

So uhm... for purple pansies, if you need a standard red one and a hybrid blue one, how can you be sure the red pansy that spawns is a hybrid and not a standard red one from crossing red+red?

First, you must create Hybrid Red Roses by using any of the three combinations listed here:

Orange and White Roses, Orange and Purple Roses or Red and Purple Roses.

Once you've created Hybrid Red Roses with any of these combinations, use the Hybrid Red Roses to create Blue Roses by using any of the two combinations listed here:

Hybrid Red Rose and Hybrid Red Rose or Orange Rose and Hybrid Red Rose.

Blue and Blue Roses are the best combinations to use if you want plenty of Blue Roses in your town, but if you made this thread for help, I'm assuming you don't have any Blue Roses in your town yet.

I hope this helps! :) Also, if this reply is almost exactly like any other posts, I'm sorry about that!

So I made a diamond shaped patch of orange+purple, with some white ones along the orange side, and placed the red ones that spawned in my house. Once I had 5 I planted them in a new patch without any other plants nearby. All I got so far were more reds, black, and a white one which might also be planted there. I've tried burying 3 fertilizers for a couple of days but only regular flowers kept spawning. :(

Just keep trying. I know I tried for almost a month to get purple tulips by watering my orange tulips. I would get every color but purple. But I just kept trying and trying. Finally, one day I got a purple. Ironically, it was the first time I TT'd a day forward and there was as purple tulip.

So don't give up!

okay so i remember something that jacobs ladder helps make hybrids. i dont know how true this is but im considering trying this method in my town today and see what happens over the coarse of the next week.

I have a blue rose experiment going on. What I did:

I mixed a red rose and a yellow rose to get an orange rose. I then mixed two white roses to get a purple rose. I bred the orange and purple roses together to get hybrid red roses. I'm breeding the hybrid red roses together to get the blue roses. I'm hoping this will work. 2 shop-bought red roses won't work, as the hybrid red roses have the genetics of all the colours of common flowers. If that makes sense :3

I messed up my patch. Can't distinguish the original from the hybrids any more so I gave up for now. :(
Could I borrow 2 blue roses from someone to breed my owns?
