Nintendo Switch - Recording video problem

Hey,
So, I'm getting a lil confused on when I'm suppose to hit the record button because whenever I try and do it, it doesn't record the area I want but records seconda before I even press the button.

For example, I'm playing Let's go Pikachu, and want to record the time where Pikachu put's itself on the side with the other two Pokemon and you get it out and the animation plays etc.
I stand by the ball to press, and then press record, but when I look back at the footage, it started as I entered the room, which didn't make sense because I didn't touch it then?

the nintendo switch records the last 30 seconds of gameplay, not whatever’s happening when you press record. going with your example, you’ll want to press record 30 seconds or so after that part of the gameplay has started in order to get a video of it.

You can always edit it as well on the switch to shorten it.
