"Nintendo has listed the titles that will be available in North America for the 3DS' launch. Touting the biggest third-party launch lineup in Nintendo's history, there appears to be something for everybody. The first three titles are first party, the rest is all up to the outside publishers:

Pilotwings Resort
Nintendogs + Cats
Steeldiver
Dead or Alive
Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D
Madden NFL
Super Street Fighter IV 3D
Asphalt 3D
Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D
Ridge Racer 3D
Resident Evil: The Mercenaries
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
Nintendo claims it should have over thirty titles before June and a library that covers all genres. " ~ Destructoid

Where's Ocarina of Time 3D and Paper Mario 3D? We've been promised OoT since the announcement of the portable console, yet it will not be on release date and it does not even have a pre-order date. :\

PAPER MARIO 3DS WHERE ARE YOU

Maybe they're saving the best for last.

But being nice to people who don't play first party games?!

That's the worst line up of launch games I have ever seen. Confirming the fact that I won't be getting a 3DS until atleast a good few months after release.

I agree.

I DON'T CARE ABOUT THOSE LITTLE KIDS MISUSING A GREAT HANDHELD
BUT NINTENDO DOES
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE REAL FANS?

I'm getting it at launch by itself then. I'll just play with the camera and the ****ing card for a month before something good comes out for it. -_____-

That list is not real. Mercenaries is not a launch title.

Otherwise, why would you even expect Paper Mario 3DS at launch? I mean, SERIOUSLY...

Also: "We've been promised OoT since the announcement of the portable console". Wrong. OoT was only shown as a tech demo at E3, which was many months after the initial 3DS announcement. It didn't get confirmed as an actual game until sometime after E3.

Doesn't bother me. There's no way I'll be able to get the console at launch anyway.

Only Nintendo could give us a console from the heavens and games from the bowels of hell.

Thank god I'm saving for an Xbox :T

This is one of the reasons I'm holding back on getting a 3DS. One of the others being I want one in Red. You showed me a red 3DS Nintendo, so thus I am waiting till you put that colour out!

Obviously they're taunting us.

They're saving the good games for last to surprise us.

read: colored wii's

also, what the hell? you guys wouldn't be content with playing a new pilotwings until OoT 3ds is released? :/

Would you rather Nintendo rush out the games you want most in time for launch, jeopardizing the quality of the games, or wait until they've had the development time they need in order to completely finish the games? You can't have great games without the necessary development time. At least be satisfied that you're able to purchase the console soon. At least we get Nintendogs + Cats, Pilotwings Resort, and Steel Diver. With those, the plethora of third party games, the built in features, and even new DS games coming out (Pok?mon Black and White, anyone?), there's plenty to satisfy everyone for a few months until the more anticipated games come out. I'm actually glad that there aren't any launch games that I want besides Nintendogs + Cats, because that means I don't have to spend as much money! The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mario Kart, Paper Mario, and Animal Crossing can all take their time, because I have a huge backlog to keep me busy in the mean time, and I'll be having a blast playing Pok?mon and Nintendogs + Cats and messing around with the 3DS system features until then.

This.

Exactly this.

Only Tye can make video game-related, long, and meaningful posts.
I can as well, but they often don't make sense.

Would like to see how they are rated. I will just wait if they all suck.

Aiee.. Those don't sound fun. I'm still debating if I even want to get a 3DS. Probably a while after the release.

Personally I would have wanted Nintendo to hold off on releasing the thing period until everything was up to speed.
But...why? Even if there are no games that interest you at the moment, you can still buy the system early, even if only to play your DS games on and use the built in features. And that way, you'll be spending less money at one time. You won't have to spend the money on the games until they come out. And waiting for a price drop is pointless, because it'll be at least a year before the price drops, and that's even pushing it. And there won't be a Lite version or anything like that, either. If there ever is an upgrade of some sorts, it's years off.
