Have you guys/girls heard about this???
It's an updated (well updated) versian of the lite.
It's already out in Japan and set to come out in the US "well into 2009".
So here's whats new about it:

1. Screens are 17% larger.
2. System is 12% thinner.
3. It has Two cameras: One 3-Megapixel on on the outside of the top screen,
and one in the middle of the top and bottem screen, and that one is 2 1/2 megapixel.
4. It has a SD card slot, to store the pics and other things. This replaces the GBA slot.
5. Some buttens are moved, the speaker and the mic is relocated.
6. It has a picture editor that lets you manipulate your pics.
7. You can also put ACC music files on the SD card and listen to them on your Dsi.
8. It has a audio editor that lets you change the pitch and speed. Audio filters and a karaoke mode are also available.
9. The Dsi can also connect to the Dsi shop via a new online browser, Here you can download
games that are stored on the SD card.

They plan on giving current gen graphics to their next gen system. Plus they still haven't put a hard drive on their console yet.

I really dont care if the additions suck or not, they added something and better late than never.

So I'll get one to replace my DS lite, it's top screen is really close to falling off.

Region-locking, a poor resolution camera, less battery life, the power button inside the shell, removal of the GBA slot like gsw said, oversized charger, incompatible with Lite styli. I'm not sacrificing those for a music player that only plays AAC, which I have via homebrew and can play MP3 and many more, built-in internet capability, which is still slower than molasses, and slightly bigger screens, which I don't see the logic behind. Downloadable DSWare sounds alright, if I couldn't do stuff like that already.

Oh, the the Lite is much sharper looking, in my opinion. Matte? No thanks.

The DSI is so fail. They remove some good feautures like the GBA slot ETC and a few gimicky features to it. Nintendo strikes again!
