Nikki's First TTing Accident

Welp, it's finally happened, guys.

Four copies and endless amounts of TTing and I finally wasn't paying enough attention at all today.

And now I'm standing in Nibbles's house, looking around at the boxes and wishing I had been far more cautious than I previously was.

There's a particular reason I'm super broken about this: Nibbles was my first peppy in my main town, and out of a stupid decision a long time ago, I let her go because I had wanted new villagers.

The problem?

I have no idea if I've cycled 16 or not since then. I really don't think I have, because I started getting ones I liked and now that town is full. Nibbles was supposed to be safe here in my cycling town, and I am so shocked that I actually messed up.

I don't know what it is about her, but I LOVE Nibbles. She's probably one of my favorite peppies. Her colors are beautiful and I love her sweet little face and I can honestly not believe I'm losing her again.

So, this isn't just all me grieving: what should I do, TBT? Should I have someone hold her while I try to cycle 16? Does cycling 16 go more quickly in cycling towns? (probably)
Should I let someone else adopt her and then hope to find her when I've cycled 16 because that's obviously a lot to go through?

If people could give me some timeframes and feedback that'd be great. I've never lost a villager before and I'm honestly torn up by how careless and stupid I was to cause this.

EDIT: She's being held for me, which means my cycling town will have 7 that I can keep shifting out to get her back. I'd again, like to thank everyone for their kindness and understanding. You're all lovely <3

EDIT: Jk, I think the best thing you can do is to give Nibbles to someone else and cycle in your main town, especially since you don't know if you've done the 16 or not yet. I'm sure when you've cycled through 16, you will find her again.

I think having someone hold her is the best option. Don't feel too bad, I lost Julian in much the same way but he never pinged or anything, and I only TT one day forward at a time. :/

If you have a town that's totally for cycling and you don't want to keep *any* of the villagers there, you can cycle really quickly! If not, it might be a little harder. I'm not a cycler though, so you are going to need a more professional opinion than this XD

Also, since you don't know if you have cycled through or not, go ahead and have that character go over and ask her to move to your other town? Worst that can happen is she wouldn't give the moving prompt because you haven't.

Also, I cycle... but I don't normally look for certain villagers to keep and certain villagers to stay which makes the process much faster.
On a lazy day... I may get no villagers into boxes or 1 into boxes...
On a quick day... I think I have done 5 villagers into boxes... and that was with the day-by-day method.

I feel so bad, I talked to her almost every day too, but she's so rare that I'm worried about not finding her again. I can't believe I just went on thinking I just wasn't getting pinged for some dumb reason when I really should've realized that I hadn't been passing by her...

I don't know if I necessarily want to get rid of Felicity, so I'm at a bit of a loss. I suppose I could give up Rosie, but I was pretty happy with my town compositions. >_<;; I wonder how long it'd take to cycle the cycling town back for her.

This time it was just me being dumb. She was either in her house or just like, somewhere else, and it's TOTALLY my fault for not talking to her like I should've been.

It's mostly for cycling; without Nibbles, 3 residents are permanent. So that'd be 7 villagers able to be cycled. I guess that's not too bad?

I don't have another 3DS unfortunately. No other 3DSes in the house, there's no way I could actually visit my own town. u.u

I have a friend I just asked, I suppose I just feel terrible for not only burdening him once again, but for being... careless. I've taken such caution over all this time, and now while I'm a little woozy I suddenly lose it? Augh. I'm really hoping with 7 villagers to move out it'll be faster to get her back... Looks like I'll be up all night.

And I guess this brings me to the next question: When does the "cycle 16" start? Right after she moves out, so, say if Kyle wanted to leave next he'd be 1 out of 16?

I`ve watched people cycle for villagers back and it might sound super tedious at first but if you work steadily you should be able to get through it and all is well. Letting her go for the time being is the more lax decision but yeah, she`s pretty rare considering she`s an autovoid for a lot of people. If you do choose to let her go, I`ll look out for a Nibbles for you! I wish I could hold atm but the three villagers I need out are being really stubborn.

But it's so hard losing your favorites like that! I lost Fang that way a long time ago in another game. I think I'd kept him for literally two years! But it's nice that the game gives you ways to bring that back home

Luckily my friend is being kind enough to hold her for me. I could try to get Felicity out of my main town and see if I could take Nibbles back, but if I couldn't then I would've just shot myself in the foot tbh, so it's probably safer for me to just keep cycling the town where I have 7 that can move at a time I suppose. u.u

Ahh thank you ;; I would hate to make you do that, though, and I have a friend who said he'd hold her for me.
It really is hard; it's difficult to keep track of four copies in the first place but I guess that's what happens when you have too many dreamies like I do oops,,,
I think Nintendo should've been far more lax about this stuff, but I guess cycling 16 is better than cycling 50 or something...

Yeah, wow, it's... Surprisingly difficult and paranoia-inducing especially now that I've just sent Nibbles away ._.;;; I'm HOPING that it wasn't because she didn't ping me and was because I wasn't paying attention, I'm pretty sure this was the case but of course now my paranoia will tell me all of my dreamies are leaving me lmao

And thank you, sweetheart ;u; You're too kind. I could hardly accept anything, but it was very, very sweet of you to offer. There are people who certainly have it worse than me (especially when they lose someone from a main town and can only cycle one at a time). As long as it starts from the next person that moves out I should be alright, 7 villagers is a decent number (inb4 all of my permanents ping me forever)

I'm certain <3 I couldn't possibly take anything when it was my own clumsy fault. And since my friend is being so kind as to hold her for me, all I can and should do is buck up and just start cycling once she's safe with him.
And yeah, Nintendo could've taken several paths to alleviate this issue, but... They didn't. >: I sorta dug my own grave though, so I can't complain too much.
