Lance walked to the old rickety library. He stared at it, his eyes coolly glaring at the windows and old brick exterior. He sighed, his breath appearing before him in the cold winter air. He finally took the rusted handles of the heavy wooden double doors, and entered. The tiny bell of the door rang, bringing the librarian's eyes to the door. She was at the counter, with piles of paperwork surrounding her. "Welcome Lance." Her voice old and welcoming. Ms. Keller was her name. She had owned a coffee shop before the library. She then rolled a cart of books over to Section 2B on the far end of the building, turning the corner and out of sight. Lance then looked around. Cobwebs hung in the corners, moss was forming onto the stone walls. He peered into the old reading nook. Ms. Keller used to read books to children in that nook. Children stopped coming because of the new places opening up. Lance looked into different sections of the large bookcase in the nook. Most of them were little kid books, like Elf on The Shelf. "Yuck." Lance frowned upon the dust on his fingers.
