1) Can’t afford a bridge yet? Use waterscaping to make yourself a placeholder that is also functional!

2) Leftover Bunny Day eggs? Eat them when you need to move trees/break rocks to get the same boost without wasting fruit!

3) Use holes in the ground to test symmetry. A hole dug with a shovel takes up exactly one tile and it’s great to double check how long or far apart something is.

Add more!

Visit a forum member or friend whose native fruit is different to yours to sell your native fruit for much more - 500 bells each as opposed to 100 (IIRC).

thank you for sharing these! i never thought of the first one and only thought of the second after i already sold all the eggs lmao

If you need cash, I'd actually recommend using the leftover Bunny Day eggs to craft things and then sell those. Crafted items are worth double the amount that the raw materials are worth. I made a lot of money from all of my leftover eggs.

Yep, exactly what I do to measure things. To add to that, I believe I read somewhere that digging holes randomly doesn’t impact the shovel durability as well.

Yep! I think the only one that might lose durability without really "doing" something is the watering can, but I could be wrong.

Okay, I want to sell all of my Bunny Day things. I do. There’s just something in me telling me not to. Sentimental reasons?

I have a mindset that tells me what if I need it later? I usually don’t but I just end up hoarding stuff anyway >.<

Harv's island lets you decorate his house using literally anything in your catalogue for free! If something is customizable you don't even have to customize it yourself, you can just select a variation or set a pattern right there in the menu. So while it might seem a little useless, it's great to test out decorating ideas without messing up your own house!

If you haven't already terraformed your island to what you want it to look like, you can find fish more easily by getting rid of all of your rivers and creating 3x3 "fish tank" ponds along a cliff with waterfalls connected to them to make them spawn river fish.

I think the axe also breaks without “doing” something. I had my axe break upon hitting a tree which I already cleared for the day.

make a custom design that is fully transparent and place it around flower beds you don't want to expand, in order to prohibit growth without ruining the beauty ! 💪
Brilliant! I just did this around my flower beds as everyday I spend time digging up the spawn I don;t want.. I have another area that I use for flower spans and don't want them in my flower bed areas...

not sure if it applies to anyone, but today i found that you can eat 10 turnips all at once!! I found this to be extremely helpful when building my forest area and moving a lot of trees at once without having to eat a piece of fruit individually. i guess this saves a bit of time? although i would like this feature to extend to all consumable items and i found it a little strange it only applied to turnips

This was already a thing in NL but here it goes: when you're placing patterns as paths, you can do it more quickly. Just picture a 3x2 grid and stand in the middle row, facing the adjacent tile. You can then just place the pattern and it'll take up the whole space without you having to move around. This works for 3x3 grids too, just stand in the middle tile and face the side.

Now I finally have a reason to buy turnips!
