I read somewhere that there was a leak about farming and cooking on acnh?? not sure if that's true though haha

Datamines have suggested it, but it's not much more than a rumor/possibility right now.
Here's some info. Tbh I just googled "acnh farming datamine." Ninji'spretty reputable though.
I can see this being a big update for the Fall season, it seems appropriate. I'd expect diving for summer.

I'm hoping that some news will be released sometime after the weekend at least announcing the update.
Most likely it would come into effect after the wedding event.

My assumption would be at the end of the wedding update.

There has certainly been a decrease in Animal Crossing activity/hype online since the release - which is absolutely to be expected at this point as the game is no longer brand new, and we are still getting articles from major game magazines about it which is pretty impressive still - but a new update could reinvigorate life into the game that has been seeping away a bit recently.

Possibly, but considering we're getting the ARMS character reveal for Smash tomorrow and another Pokemon announcement on Wednesday, it seems they're starting to drop previously planned E3 announcements now. Not unlikely to think an AC announcement is coming soon too.

Farming should be a summer thing! That’s the best time to plant crops. There’s plenty of room for farming and diving. That would leave Brewster for the fall.

It's going to take some serious convincing for me to see the purpose of farming. We can already eat fruit to (re)move things, so why grow crops and cook food? I want diving, and to a lesser degree Brewster, but not farming.

I fully expect an update at some point in July. Fireworks festivals seem to be a given. They've been a staple of every game, even Wild World, that it wouldn't be the same without one.

I really hope this is true, the firework festivals are one of my most favorite seasonal events!!

Well it doesn’t have to be for eating. Honestly, I just want something else to do. Maybe there’s someone who comes by and you sell them or something. Idk!

It seems like we're due for an update reveal sometime next week, but in between the Super Smash Bros video and the Pokemon video it's going to be a packed week. (And why did Pokemon need two different reveal videos? SMH)

if it keeps following the thread of these lackluster events... idk :/ really need something that wows me at this point

they've bought back some stuff from GCN so maybe they'll add back the sports festival as well? i know i would be certainly wowed.

they probably couldnt fit enough stuff in the first video so they made a second one so the first one doesnt get too long

I definitely expect an announcement this week or next and an update around July 1st. It coincides with the end of the first big update and the start of what would usually be fireworks festival
