New Year Hats (Finally got it!!!)

I'm playing that game for 5 years (since summer 2014) already and never got the green new year hat, never. This year, it's blue and yellow. again. Is it the same for everybody? Is there a hat color you never had?

I ended up getting the blue and yellow hats, too. But in my brother's town, he ended up getting red and yellow.

I suppose it's random depending on the town...?

There is a green hat looking like the red hat.

It appears to be random each year unfortunately. Through time traveling in a different town just now, I was able to get all four hats to appear within five years. If you need the hat however, I would be glad to give you one for free.

I think I may have gotten the blue one, but I honestly didn't even know that there were other colors that you could get lol (though I very rarely play New Leaf during holidays so nit surprising).

I've played on multiple characters on the same year in the past to try and get all the hats and even doubles of blue/yellow since I prefer that design, but the same as you I never received the green one and in fact had no idea it even existed until now!

A year later (2021), still no green hat (I got it from someone else), this year it's red and blue. No green hat in 7 New Year events. That's so weird. Edit (2022) still no green hat...
