So recently I bought a new game file For Animal Crossing New Leaf.
I want it too be a sort of forestry/woodsy themed town but I'm really stumped for ideas.
It is planned to arrive tomorrow, so I am rushing to try and find some ideas that I like, but I am coming out dry.

Does anyone have any Town name ideas that would co-operate with my town idea?
I also Need a mayor name and an ideal layout idea for my town.
Should it be a compact cosy town, an open town, or a town where each house is very 'too themselves', blocked by hedges and trees and what not.
Where should I have my bridges placed and where should I place my house?

The only idea I have come up with so far is the interior and (sort of) exterior of the house. :p

Also, Is there a way of finding out the town fruit before you pick the map, or does it generate when you get there?
I just really don't want to find a town I love and end up with a town fruit like durians or something.

I can't wait to read all your ideas and thanks for helping me out!x C:

Think...
For town names, do you want to name it after a real place? A fictional world? Sometimes unique names make good town names. My fairy-woodsy town is named Vesper, after my mother's friend's baby. Not specifically after her, but I fell in love with the name. I feel that one side, it's pretty sassy, like viper, but on the other, it can be very delicate and fairy-like. The perfect mix for my town.
For mayor names, do you want your mayor to be named after you, or someone you know? Try looking up certain words in other languages, then see if you like how they sound. I find that pretty fun.
It's kinda hard to do cozy towns because there are just oh so many buildings you can line up. Open towns are fun if you fill them with flowers and patterns. The 'too themselves' towns give a vibe of comfort and almost... ugh idk the word but I like it.
For bridges, it's hard depending on your river layout is. Have at least 2, kinda spaced out.

I don't think you can do anything about the fruit, but I'd be happy to give you some other ones! I have all of the fruits.

Hey! Thank you so much for the ideas! Your town name is so pretty c:
I have my Mayor named after me in my other two game files, so I wanted to call my character something very mystical, pretty and something that maybe has a backstory.
I think I'd like my town name to be based off of a fictional world, something fantasy, but not quite fairy tale.
I think i will go with the sort of 'too themselves' town layout, because I think it will fit with the over grown theme that I'd like to go for.
Thanks so much for all your Help! x c:

It was supposed to come tomorrow :p
It just arrived!!

Of course! Some examples of words that are fantasy: The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings ( I haven't read them but I know that some names are lovely), Idk exactly what you could find from Harry Potter, but it's there... ummm.... OOH! Primrose (from the hunger games) might be a good town name or mayor name! It's really pretty and I think has the vibe that you're going for... I think that flowers or any word that has a kinda... take on it (like how Vesper sounds like viper) is really cool cause anyone who reads it then thinks of that hard-to-find word, and it's great for giving off vibes.
