New town goal Challenge

This makes me wish I had a second town to play around with. The moment I asked my sister if I could play on hers since she ever plays, she starts playing again... xD I'm an item hoarder, so I plan to pretty up her town a lot. It'll be so much fun starting from nothing though and grinding your life up in new horizons. It just feels so much more fulfilling.

And also, giiirrrrl, I time travel for a living. It's going to be impossible to complete your catalog because of the new year items. It would take 12 consecutive years to get all the zodiac animals alone.

Also, the monthly bugs/fish/dive creatures that are unique to certain times and months to...

I'm also doing this, especially since I don't even have a town anymore and haven't for awhile (deleted my first town and haven't been motivated since then).

My set of rules:
- pick one of the first four towns offered without resetting once
- no time traveling
- no use of any amiibos

There may be more rules, but I couldn't think of any more than this as I'm posting this.

Also, since I had no town to begin with, I'm also starting with 0 bells. I'm earning everything from scratch.
I want to see how much I can get done in 9 months.

Goals I would like to reach:
- complete museum (as much as i can anyway within 9 months)
- get the t&t emporium
- max my house size
- complete some furniture sets
- get most of my dreamies for that town, if not all
- get a perfect town

This is a really good idea, I was thinking of resetting my town and see how much I can do before NH comes out, but now that everyone is doing it, it will be really fun to restart with 0 bells and just be happy with all the villagers that come in my town, as well as them plopping down anywhere in my town. I might just not time travel at all, but if I miss out on a day due to uni, I can time travel for those days.

Also, should there be a thread or a sticky thread dedicated to people talking about what they did on each day until NH comes out? That would be really cool if we could do that

I know i timed traveled a lot on my old town. I just feel it would be a cool countdown to see how far ive accomplished in the 9 months thats why i’m not

I found a app for iphone, not sure if its for android but its ACNL guide and you can say if you have the item and stuff so i can keep track of the museum and furniture and clothing so i know how much more i need to get. Its really helpful i suggest getting it

You can do it! I don't time travel at all in my game, it makes the town feel much more complete and like I actually achieve stuff.

You know they say it takes 30 days for something to become a habit, so if you don't TT for 30 days you'll notice afterwards that it's not a big deal anymore!

Oh yes! Im doing good cause im trying to say lets see what i can do from now till then. And i have a app that i can keep track of what i have seen and got and donated so i can see my progress

What Are your rules? Do you time travel or see what you can do from now till then

I think that we're all following our own set of rules. One is completely new to the series, two of us made new towns on a side cartridge, and the other three already had towns that they didn't reset. There is also seventh who lost her cartridge so she is thinking of buying a new one to play with us.

We get together on discord and visit each other's towns, share progress, etc.

For me the only rule I'm following is no TT, no cheating (this includes trading with someone who cheated/hacked for an item) That's it. I also won't be resetting for villagers or for house placement because I feel that with my other towns I stressed so much about getting the perfect house placement that I didn't always enjoy the game.

I remember my prima guide I had 6 years ago, and I think its time I actually put it to good use when I unlock T&T Mart, as that's when the catalog appears.
