New to Animal Crossing

Hi, I'm new to Animal Crossing (and 3DS gaming), with New Leaf as my first and only AC game. While I predominantly bought the game as a way to spend time with my girlfriend, I'm finding it strangely addicting on its own right. So much so that I've barely touched my other 3DS games.

As frustrating as it is, I'm enjoying unlocking new things in the game... and am trying my best to not using game guides...
