new spongebob is so bad, wouldn't be surprised if the movie is just as bad. i watched the first movie when i was younger like 489732 times lol. who knows, maybe it won't be so bad

no no no, I literally am starting to/already do hate CGI animation. To me, it will never look as good as traditional animation because after time it becomes dated and computer-y as graphics improve, while 2D animation pretty much always looks good.

/end rant/ but as for spongebob, I still watch it but this movie could be...ok.

CGI will only be on land. Thats about 15% of the movie.

To be honest im just happy something with a majority hand drawn animation is making it to theaters. Last thing i can remember seeing was princess in the frog, years ago.

The trailer looks interesting, and it has Hillenburg as a writer and executive producer, so it may not be too bad. I highly doubt that I'm going to see it at the theater, though. I just don't like going to movie theaters.

I have to see it for nostalgia.
when i was a baby i just sat there watching spongebob or other shows.
