Pokémon New QR Code Hack?

I'm just wondering what others are thinking about this new way to hack in illegal pokemon. Here's a link if you want to check it out. I've done it to get hoopa and volcanion... SHHH.....

I realize TBT doesn't promote hacking in any way, but I'm just asking opinions

To do this hack, this is what needs to be done. It's surprisingly incredibly easy...

These are all hacked pok?mons. Do not use this method if you don't like that.
Does not work on New 3DS
Clean your 3ds browser history and cookies.
Inside your game go to your PC Box and leave Box 1 Slot 1 empty.
Leave the PC Box and leave your character in front of it.
Press 3DS home button and hold L+ R to open the camera.
Scan and read the QR code from the pok?mno you want.
Wait for the link to open and wait, when the browser crashe, go back to the game.
Open your PC Box, your pok?mon will be there.

I think it's a pretty neat thing for people that don't mind getting their Pokedexes filled up illegitimately. I do mind that though, so all I did was try it out before soft resetting my game to before I injected any Pokemon.

Also, fair warning: a lot of buttfaces found out about this and are distributing bad eggs or other glitch Pokemon, to try and brick your save on purpose. Try to get things from reliable sources (for which Reddit is pretty good).
There is a way to fix it as well, which is simply by placing the bad egg/glitch Pokemon into slot 1 of box 1, then injecting a legit Pokemon over it. It'll overwrite the bad Pokemon.

But yeah, I don't mind it all too much. As long as people realize that it might negatively affect their experience or even break their game, there shouldn't be a problem. It's like people using Action Replay or Powersaves. Just leave them to it, really.

Hmm, yet another thing that feels like overdoing it will break your game or screw up the 3DS, especially the part where you have to let the browser crash every time, but it sure is tempting to try it out.

It has made me completely stop caring about "legitimacy" and more about "legality". I'm not going to spend hours farming or breeding a perfect shiny max IV nature pokemon when people will use 3 second methods to replicate such hard work.

As long as pokemon people give me these days are legal, I don't care. I might even use it myself. *steps closer to dark side*

I mean, if it's a glitch that gets you free stuff, why not get free stuff? If you saw a sign that said 'Free money', you wouldn't exactly go "I earn money at my job, I don't need that!" It is just pixels after all, and if this gets people the pokemon they want then great!

But seriously, this helps out a lot when it comes to missed events. There are whole downloadable folders of event pokemon from 4th, 5th and 6th gen! It's American events, too, and I live in England so that helps c:

This is a very interesting way to think of it. I'm not sure what you mean by the shuffle thing.. But that sign comparison is something I've never thought of. If you're into competitive play, a pokemon like Landorus is almost a necessity and if you're playing legit its impossible to get a competitive one. If you want to use this hack use it now before it's patched. (Not suggesting it, mods )

I don't think anyone would answer this, since it's against the rules. If you want to know, then Google it. I'm sure you'll find something on Reddit or /vp/ that way.

Check out this video from the VG Regionals that was uploaded recently. They both use Pokemon from the Tao trio, with Zach using Landorus.

PKhex is what most people use to create their own pokemon I think? Not into this stuff so I don't know how it compares with other file editing software.

It's a lot easier to do it using this:

Because, with an update, they made it so you can create a QR of a pokemon you create directly from it by clicking a button. I've just been making personal shinies that I've wanted for ages! There are codes that fill box 1 up with the pokemon in box 1 slot 1, so that's good if you wonder trade a certain pokemon on a certain day. (I trade Buneary on Easter and such)

You can dupe the egg out your game. You keep the first box slot empty and then do the duplication code.

If you happen to get a bad egg then just restart your game....

Or, you put the bad egg in the first slot and then scan a legit QR code. That overwrites the bad egg data with a non-glitched Pokemon.
