hey guys, i've just joined the site. i'm not sure to what extent i need to introduce myself, but my name is Nita, i'm 20 years old and living with my fiance in New Zealand. i just picked up a copy of animal crossing the other day, and i really enjoy it. i've played both of the previous animal crossings, and am realling looking forward to the new experiences with on-line play.
my ID number is 2321-0166-1861.
my name is Nita.
my town's name is Coketown - because i love coke (not the snorting kind).
i'm looking forward to meeting whoever wants to meet me. =)

Welcome to TBT. Glad to have you with us. I'll be getting the gmae with Wii speak. If you want to you can come onto the IRC and have a chat with alot of us. When I get the game I'll add you.

thanks. =) i also have both wii speak and a keyboard, although i'm not too confident on the wii speak usage yet. reading the book, it says that a blue light comes on when it's ready to begin... but i have yet to see the light, lol.
i'm so excited to have some friends, yay!

Lol, I'm getting the wii speak bundle too and I have a keyboard. I too am not to confident on Wii speak but If I get to know some people I guess I'll use it.

yeah, that's exactly my feeling wraiths, lol. especially since i'm female... i'm so worried i'm going to meet a bunch of pervs that come to my city just to listen to me or something, lol. but same... if i get to know someone pretty well may try and figure out the thing. didn't spend the extra money on the bundle pack for it to just sit there, and wow on the limit of how much text you can send at once...

it's like i'm trying
to say a whole
sentence but it
has to be cut into
a million pieces...

I agree completely I'm really suprised with it. It's really annoying to have to do that, I like to be able to say what I need to say without constantly having to press enter and countinue. Let alone the time spent leaving it there to make sure they've read what you've said.

yeah... i had my first experience with someone coming to my town today, and then also going to theirs. the first time i typed something i didn't really look at the screen and was pretty shocked at the limit when i spent about 50 seconds typing out a pretty big chunk of what i wanted to say, lol.
a question about the game though - while i was in this person's town, they needed to go away from the game for an extended period of time. since my nooky nook was closed, i decided to hang around there and catch some fish...
then he logged out and i lost everything i had done. maybe they didn't know not to do that because they only recently started the game too, lol...
anyway, my question IS: my game told me my data "may" have been lost - does that mean it will sometimes be saved if the person you're playing with disconnects, logs out, or you disconnect from the internet, or a nice way of saying,"you just lost EVERYTHING!" ?
another thing i don't like about the game is how you can't save unless you're quitting... is it really like this or am i just missing something very obvious? sigh...

Well I'm not the person to be answering. If nodbody answers by boxing day I can tell you. Anyway I'm glad to have a New Zealander on here. It's the closest person I've found to a fellow Aussie.

the friend i met earlier is actually from australia, lol. i'll probably get him and his little brother on here also to open up the community to the lesser crowd that needs just as much love and attention as anyone else. =(
in a few months though i'll be going back home to america, so i think my interaction playtime will go up dramatically, lol.

without a doubt i prefer new zealand over america... the only things i miss about america are of course my family, but also the food... other than that, new zealand is heaven on earth. it's actually illegal for policemen to carry guns here because the crime rate is so low, lol. it's so clean that people hardly wear shoes year round... the food is all 100% not messed up with preservatives and steroids or whatever else they put in it... just a great place to be. i'm going to miss it dearly when we go back to america.
thank you all for the nice welcome. =) just let's do whatever we have to do to get me out of my town and into some daytime towns when it's late. =*( dying of boredom, lol.
goodnight for now though... almost 5 PM. man i'm going to be tired, lol.

hey guys - just so everyone knows, being in new zealand, for you american players this is how ours times will work (so if it's too late in your town, you can come by mine and my nook will still be open! lol)
EST: we're 6 hours behind you
CST: we're 5 hours behind you
uhh... the california area: we're 4 hours behind you
we're hours behind you, but the majority of the time, we're a day AHEAD of you! so if you want to check out the future... come swing by... lol.
in daylight savings it's really complicated. at one time we're 5 hours behind EST, and then when ours kicks in we're like 7 hours behind. but as of now, what i posted is how it is, lol.
so if you guys want to come to a daylight time when your town is sleeping, PM me your details and i'll add you.
