Can you guys give me the run-around here? I have read the rules and stuffs obviously, but I also want to hear from others!

Is it ok to use a lot of abbreviations? (lol, tho, tbh...)?
What is the shop?
Is there some like courtesy rules that I should know?

It's completely ok to use abbreviations, as long as what you've written is understandable! Spelling doesn't have to be perfect either.

The Shop is a place where you can buy forum "collectibles", which are the little images you'll see next to people's names. You can also purchase things like username changes, coloured user titles (the text under a username), and temporary profile backgrounds (like the pink one behind my profile right now). Most items can be purchased using TBT Bells, which are a forum currency you earn just by posting. During events, there is often also a special event currency you can earn by participating, which can be used for certain items.

The forum rules cover most of what you should need to know around courtesy and the rules. One section that's helpful is understanding the Post Quality Guidelines, which encourage things like making sure your replies to a thread are on-topic, and not low in content, such as posting only a gif, meme, or one-word answer.
