no, folks, you haven't heard this before... this is totally new for me. One of my friends told me about a musician -- Park Stickney.

He plays jazz harp. Yeah.

Jazz harp.

This stuff sounds amazing. I bought the only album available on iTunes by him -- "Action Harp Play Set" -- and weird name aside, I am in musical heaven. The CD delivers... there's not much else to say.

Please check this guy out... he's awesome. If you like ANY kind of jazz, you'll love this guy's playing. Granted, most of the tunes are slow jazz, so if you're not too into that, you might come away unimpressed, but damn... if you ask me, it sounds amazing. I mean, jazz on harp?!

If you can only buy a few songs, get these, my personal favorites:

Swiss Miss
Moondance
I Talk To The Wind

He also does Come Together, a Beatles tune, so... yeah. Awesome stuff. I want to buy his other CDs, though, but they're not available on iTunes. Ahhhh. : (

You have friends?!?!?!?!?!?!

Anyway, I love jazz, so I'll give this a shot.

I usually play the Baritone T.C. parts or Trombone 1st double in T.C. They're basically the same thing half the time.

Uhh, haha... :\

Yeah, you should definitely check this out. I'm not easily impressed -- I'm super picky... I probably don't like 99% of music out there... so yeah... haha.

Phenomenal.
You like it? Awesome. D:
It's amazing.

I tried incorporating harp that was kind of jazz-ish into my sibelius project. It turned out terrible.
Glad you like it. : ) They guy's not very well known, so I imagine he could use all the support he can get.

Hah, actually, my friend is a harpist... we're thinking of doing some guitar-harp jazz duets, so hopefully it works out...

I love having unorthodox instrument combinations... harp + guitar fits the bill quite well, eh?
