I haven't been to Harv's island in a while but I remember that if you don't clean up the room there, those items will stay on Harv's island until you visit next time. So, if you can't see your items anymore after you came back, maybe they are still at Harv's?

Then, if you want to buy them, you buy them by talking to Cyrus and spending your heart crystals, and he will put them in your inventory.
