So I was wondering, if you play an Australian copy of New Leaf where Australia has reversed seasons from US where I live is it warm and springy during December and stuff? Same with all the fish and stuff, is it all changed and stuff?

Where I live it doesn't snow
It's a tropical island
So there is no snow
And having tons of rain in march of the game is weird
Because our rains it's on July to October
And we never had snow so on "winter" that the same as USA
For us look like fall

hmmm I didn't even think about that in tropical areas.... i would be so weirded out, because the weather matches up with my area

oh wow.. i always imagined like, how florida or really any southern players in the US felt during the winter... never even thought about different countries. thatd be too weird for me as welll. D:

As someone else already answered, sadly Nintendo didn't think of the southern half of the earth! It is weird, and I wish the seasons would match. I do miss the cosiness of playing snowy AC while it's really snowing (I used to live in the UK but now in Australia so I've played AC with both matching and non-matching seasons).

i'd like it if acnl was entirely based off the weather channel news for ur area exactly, so like if it's raining outside it's raining, if it's snowing outside it'll snow, etc

Yeah it's the same, only difference is the holidays in other language copies like i.e Japan, Korea, Germany etc.

If you're in the southern hemisphere, just offset the dates, lol. Might screw with the events and whatnot though.

Here in eastern Scotland there's no snow in the winter and a lot more rain than in Animal Crossing, though having the weather matching everywhere in AC would be a real challenge.

Perhaps the next version could grab weather data from the internet to always match roughly what's happening outside where you live!

Awww, no, I wouldn't like that at all. It'd rain about 300 days of the year in my AC.

I'd get plenty of gyroids though xD

That has to be super strange for some users. I used to get weirded out because I thought the game was syncing the weather with what was actually happening outside. To this day it rains in my town when it's raining outside.
