New Leaf has been out for over a month in all of the countries it was released in.

How much are you playing now compared to when you started? How do you like the game after you've been playing it for this long? Are you playing it more than City Folk after a month?

How do you think the online Animal Crossing communities like TBT are compared to when the game just came out? What's different?

---

I'm actually playing more than when it came out because I barely had any time back then. I know a lot of people stopped playing it 8 hours a day, but I was never playing it that much so I think it's going to last much longer for me. I remember I played City Folk non-stop at first, but then it died quickly for me. I don't think it's going to be the same with NL. As for the online communities, I think we have about the same amount of people, but it's a little less crazy. And more people are trading items than asking questions, for example.

I'm playing it more than I did when it came out because I was still in school at the time.
I don't remember when exactly I stopped playing City folk I know it was before the summer and it came out in November.
As for the forums active members skyrocketed which was expected, lots of new friendly faces.

I played for many hours during June when I had time. Being summer now with later work hours, it can be pretty tough to get my play hours in. Other than going to the island, I refuse to play the game in the town after 7pm during summer. There are things out there I don't want to encounter...
I'm sure by October (maybe September) and later I'll be back to my regular work hours and thus have more time to play without having to worry about what lurks in the night...

I got it on June 18th, and I've played everyday since.

I'm just a child, so I get much more time to use my 3Ds. The game is addictive, especially for newcomers to AC like me. I will definitely be playing for at least another 5 months, I can guarantee.

This is my first time being able to play a new AC game at the same time as everyone else. I got into it like 2010-2011 so I'm kinda late to the party :c but it's been really fun and I'm probably going to play this game longer then the others. My whole life is dedicated to it right now...which is kinda sad lol

Well, I just got the game 4 days ago and I keep playing it more and more.
It's also my first AC game so that might have something to do with it.

I'm still playing it about the same amount. Which is a lot. But I'm still on my item collecting mission. I'm also running my DLC/regional items cataloging shop now, so that gives me more reasons to play. I'm promising people that I'll be online at certain times.

I have no clue what I'm going to do in August. I have a TON of events I'm going to, so it's going to be very difficult to fit gaming in. I guess I will somehow.

I'm still playing everyday, but I'm playing less intensively now. I'm more focused on landscaping and the occasional PWP, and getting my house right.

I got the game late June and played every day so far. In the last week or so I've slowed down my play considerably and just doing my daily routine stuff with the occasional visit to a friend's town (mostly because of the Steam Summer Sale taking my attention).

From the day it was released to today, I still can't put the game down! Well, I can put it down, compared to when I first got the game, haha. I know how to manage myself! There's always something new to do each day in game. The forums have become much more active, especially the Re-Tail, as majority of players work together to exchange items.

I'm playing less now than I was when the game first came out. It's the only 3DS game I play (well, other than Mii Plaza, but you have to use every opportunity you can to play that one!), so I still put quite a few hours into it but I'll probably get bored soon and actually have to remind myself to go check on my town at least once a day. Games like this don't keep me interested for very long.

It's a pretty cool game! This is my first AC game and I've gotta say, it's very well done. My main peeve is that it plays in real-time, which makes the game move sooooo slow! But I can tell that that's something some people really like about it... at times I wish the shops would just never close, though, at the very least. I also think the game probably wouldn't have much replayability because you get so used to things being a certain way in your town that another town wouldn't really be "your town."

I didn't join TBT until the game came out, so I don't know how things changed after its release. I'd say that now it seems like things have calmed down a bit, but there's still quite a bit of chatter going on which is good! I'm a frequent forum-goer, and I've just been getting slightly discouraged lately because a lot of my favorite forums are starting to lose traffic. I guess there are just too many forums all serving the same purpose out there... I'm glad this one's going strong because it's got a really nice community. c:

And I'm one of those who's been playing the game for like 8 hours a day (or more!) when it came out, so hopefully I don't get burned out so soon! I believe I'll be playing the game, at least once every couple of days or so, for at least a year. I gotta experience all the holidays and events!

I played AC:WW every day for 3 years, so I'm expecting history to repeat itself with AC:NL. :)

This is probably because I don't set myself any goals. I simply enjoy watering the flowers and watching them multiply, and I enjoy interacting with my villagers and meeting any new character in my town. The campsite and cafe are such great ideas. I never travelled with AC:WW (couldn't get the internet connection to work) so playing with other people is something new for me in NL. I do enjoy it when people I trust come to visit.

As for the online community, I don't think it has any significant impact on how I play. I wasn't active in any forum when I played WW. I'm not very active here either; I lurk more than I post. The very aggressive and competitive nature of online communities (when it comes to collecting and trading items) scares me. I'm very laidback with my game. I don't trade or sell. I'm in no hurry at all, I do like taking my own sweet time to collect items, and only those that I really, really like.

I'm playing it about as much as I was. :) Not getting bored of it in the slightest!

And as far as TBT in comparison to other AC forums; I've been a part of several over the years and this one is by far the best. The others either had terrible layouts, oppressive rules, or both.

I've played consistently since I got the game when it first came out in the US! I play all day unless I have things to go or places to be.

I am playing the game so much less than what I figured I would... I think I played it way too fast. I could easily skip a day but I want to keep up to date with all the stuff and... Yeah. :/ I do feel as if I would be able to have a lot of fun if I reset but I really don't want to. I still have so much more to do! D:

This forum is amazing, tried other animal crossing forums, and they were either not active enough, or too imature and the layout rubbish, im addicted to this forum tbh only been here a month, and look at my posts
I'm not AS addicted, in sense of my game time, but i do still play atleast 3/4 hours a day, which is a lot! i played Wild world for 3 years religiously, so this should be similar maybe, i plan to pick up wild world again actually..
only lasted 1 month on CF..

I'm playing it less but still play every day.
When I first got it I was playing all afternoon and most of the night, and ended up getting abit lazy and not doing my housewife duties lol.
Now I play it when I've done everything I have to do such as cooking and cleaning then play it before I go to bed.

When I first started I played often (multiple hours/day). Gradually I moved to the phase where I turned on my game just to make sure my favorite villagers would stay (talked to them, did some favors, sent a couple letters, checked the shops). Soon enough it was just to check the shops and scan my town really quick. After that slight drawback I began to play again and mess with patterns/flowers more. I still have a long way to go to make my town the way I want it, but most of that relies on PWP. So until I can buckle down and put time into S&Q, going around my town, waiting for 20 minutes, then doing it again...I probably won't even turn my game on every day. D: I don't have the time to do that for hours.

Now again I find myself playing less often. I'm sure I will have days where I turn it on and play for a few hours to catch up with everything and make some bells, but I'll probably never be in the 8 hour/day craze again. It's hard when there are so many other games to play and when you have to pair it with your regular schedule. SMT IV has been draining all my time. D:

I don't doubt that I will get back into it again, though. For me Animal Crossing is something I never get tired of. I'll just have lots of phases where I do want to play and lots where I don't. :p

This time last month I was playing it between 1-4 hours a day, depending on how much time I had. Now I'm playing it nearer 1-2 hours. I'm still enjoying the game. I'm actually shocked I'm still playing it, haha. :3 A month after CF's release I was completely bored with it.

I'm still playing it as much as when I got it, I've been quite slow making money. It quite shocking how much I'm playing it haha!
