Just got to the story line where I need to place 3 sites for my new villagers and the coveted ladder Recipe! YAY! My question is, what the heck do I do will those trees I have? I'd like to clear some out to make room for flowers and "stuff".
I've dug up a few to make some room, but actually I'm a bit overwhelmed. I don't want to sell or destroy them, or should I? I know I will need the wood from them, but really? That's alotta trees. LOL
Any suggestions would be helpful

I can't remember when you gain the ability to craft an axe but I'd recommend cutting a few of them down! or if you're not committed to fully cutting them down, you can always eat some fruit, dig them up and then move them somewhere else so you still have them but they're not in the way of your plans. and you can buy saplings from nook's (again, can't remember if this is available from the beginning or not) so trees won't be lost forever. good luck on your island adventures!!

You can't store trees, so if there's no place to plant them, you should either cut them down or dig them up and sell them. You can always get more trees again later

Dont worry about the trees! Chop as many as you like as they're very easy to get back. Nook's Cranny sells both types of saplings daily and fruit for replanting. If you don't like waiting for trees to grow, just head to a mystery tour and grab the fully grown trees

Thanks so much all. What a relief. LOL Got another questions too, I got some apples from a mystery tour and planted it on my island a few days ago, it really hasn't grown much at all. Wondering how long it will take or if it will even mature at all.

The fruit takes a few days to grow, but sometimes depending on where you placed a tree it may be too close to a cliff or edge and it won't grow. I've done that a few times myself. So you may have to move it to a different spot.

I just started NH and I'm looking to exchange flowers and fruits as every mystery island I visited has the same as mine. I'm lurking in the airport section of the forum as well but thought I'd post here when I saw your thread. Drop me a line if you want a visitor or if you want to visit my island.
