New Glitch: Villager home...but not?

Hey guys,

Haven't seen this occurring to anyone else in the AC community yet, but I thought I'd share what happened to me last night. So, I was essentially doing the rounds walking around my town, talking to villagers etc., when I stumbled across Chief's house, which in having his house illuminated, indicated he was home. However, I got inside and he wasn't there lol; no music playing, nothing. This is what it looked like:

I clearly thought this was weird, really not a problem, just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else. I remember this happening a few times in past ACs

YES! This happened to me! Oh boy, who's house was I trying to enter...? It might have been Wendy's house. As soon as I exited, she was right outside her house however!

It hasn't happened to me in this game, but if I remember right - in the original AC - you could enter their houses if they were still close to it/in the same acre? No idea if this is intended though.

It happened to me with Beau. They should be walking around outside if this happens. I'm not really sure what causes it, but it's a really interesting bug.

yeah i just got this yesterday with mira. when i exited her house i was scared the "i've moved out." glitch happened to me. thankfully not!
