New features you'd like to see

I'm sure I read somewhere that Nintendo intends on adding new things occasionally to the game. Upgrading your city may have been a hoax, but it would be pretty simple for them to add new items, characters, and other such things.

What would you like to see added in on the next update, if this is possible?
