New Christmas theme town!

Well, there's lots of cute patterns for winter and Christmas online, so you should beable to find some good ones. ( Or make your own).

A character with a cozy Christmas cabin would be cute. Lots of cedar trees around the house. Hopefully most of them would have lights on them. I think the illuminated pwp's would look nice and have the dream updated at night.

I also think a Frosty the Snowman character would be fun. Find or make an outfit that would match the snowman hat. The game has lots of good furniture to fit the snow theme. You could also customize some pieces with some cute snowman patterns.

A Christmas town should have Santa. My Joy town has a North Pole house. It was really fun to make.

An elf could live in the Christmas cabin I mentioned earlier.

A church. The main room could look all Christmassy, with a nativity pattern put on the fancy frame, some seats and a maniquin dressed as a pastor or preacher standing up front. I'm a Christian, so this idea would work for me. ( Don't know if this would be something you would want).

A mall. It could have all kinds of stores. A toy store would be fun. Add some Christmas decor to each one.

Some Christmas clothing left out for dream visitors would be cute.

Another idea is a foresty town. There would be lots of lighted cedars. Santa's house, and the other characters could all be elves. The villagers could be bears ( Grizzly is awesome), dear, and squirrels. Erik is a good one for a forest town.

An old fashioned candy store would be so cute. There could also be a counter where customers could sit and get some icecream. The tea table could be the seats. ( Because they're a bit rustic and the dollies can sit on them. )You could add some Christmas decor, too.

These are just some ideas that I personally would like. Hope this helps. Have fun with your new town.

You know I've never actually thought of this as a theme, no idea why as its a brilliant idea.
The north of your town can be used as somewhere for Santas house, since you can grow cedar trees and they look quite christmassy.
Whether it's your mayor or an alt character, have them dressed as santa cedar trees around the house. Interior furniture you can use kiddie themed rooms, jingle furniture of course, cabin set, snowman set and ice set too maybe?
Exterior you could probably keep it as a regular mansion and use the zen type exterior options. Can't think what other houses there are to make it look like a cabin theme or something.

The illuminated PWP's would go nicely as would the log benches. Not sure if you're going to match the villagers but the deer are a good choice I think, especially Erik since he's a reindeer I think? Good luck with whatever you decide though :)

Wow! For my future second cartridge, I wanted to make a Christmas theme too.
The illuminated trees would look great, along with all of the other illuminated PWPs.
The log bench and bonfire would look cozy too.
For my future Christmas town, I was planning all of my villagers to be white or blue, somewhat. Maybe you could do the same!

My dream town's time is set to Toy Day, though it doesn't exactly have a Christmas theme save for some Christmas items set out in the mayor's house.

a path to get your town started :)

You could make it ice themed, like mine, but incorporate christmas into that. You don't always have to use the blue and white colour but use those more over the other christmas colours like, red green etc.

Remember to think about where you want things with cedar trees on the Upper part of the map!

I had a whole area planned out for my Winter/Christmas campsite but placed the campsite too far south.
Silly mistake!

But think about PWPs and other things you can do on the Southern part of the map to keep it "Christmas-y"
Winter towns are so fun!

I can't wait to see this!! I love Christmas towns.

some ideas:
-running sewing machines in santa's workshop with gnomes behind them
-a cozy fireplace
-cabin furniture/set
-bonfire PWP
-holly bushes
-candy lying around town or chocolates
-might be fun to leave a section where your dream visitors can play a game, like digging for candy or prizes or cool streetpass items to play with as they tour the town
-a living room with a christmas tree (large), piano, and gifts, both wrapped and unwrapped. Nice touch might be dressed mannequins in pajamas in front of the gifts or someone in front of the piano
-a bedroom with several little beds with christmas patterns on them
-or a bedroom with a trail of candy and gifts, showing santa has come
-a Christmas tree farm (seen this a few times, love it)
-a bell PWP with an angel wings sign (referencing it's a wonderful life)
-maybe a hotel (just NOT the overlook hotel lol) themed around Christmas, including a little homey bed and breakfast and a lobby Xmas tree

Also I definitely second the candy store/mall and church ideas. Behind the church you could make some standees and you could make a custom pattern for an advent wreath on the wall inside.

And illuminated PWPs always look good in these towns, so lots of those would be great as well.

If you wanna take it really far and have villagers to go with the theme too, here are a few:
-Erik
-Aurora
-Sprinkle
