New and don't know what to do

Hi! I'm Scarlett, and I just joined the Bell Tree. So now... what do I do? Can someone explain to me what there is to do here? It looks fun, and I heard that the Bell Tree was a much better community than that of the Animal Crossing groups I'm in on Facebook. So now that I've made my account and set up my profile and stuff, what should I do now?

And another thing, I just now noticed that it said I have 8 bells. Where did they come from? Can someone explain to me how you get bells and what you use them for? Thanks.

Hi and welcome! The Bell Tree is largely an Animal Crossing discussion board, you can see there are various sections each suited to different aspects of the game such as online trading and general discussion. Of course there are other sections of the board relating to older AC games, and at the very bottom there are a few boards for off-topic general discussion, other game discussions, and forum games etc. I'd really suggest you take a look through each section of the forums to get a feel for the topics in each, and of course, participate wherever you want! I've found that the forum rules here are pretty easy to follow so it's a fun place to relax and read other people's experiences while sharing your own.

As for the bell count on your profile, you earn those with every post you make, and the amount you get per post is dependent on the content of your posts. You can use them to buy items (or even villagers) in the trade sections of the forum so they're handy to save up. There's a shop tab on the navigation bar that contains some account services and collectibles that you can add to your profile, these are all bought with the bells you earn here while posting (referred to as TBT or BTB by most).
