What? Didn't they just lower the price from $9.99 to $7.99?
Why would you want to remove the videos? Do you even know how the Nintendo Video app works? Nintendo sends you new 3D videos via SpotPass regularly. You can't keep them forever like the 3D E3 trailers, though. You can only have a certain amount of videos at the same time, and when they send newer videos the older ones are deleted.
I'd actually kinda rather have Nintendo Video over Netflix right now. At least you get 3D content. Netflix is all 2D for us, at least at the moment. 3D videos are coming "soon", whenever that is.

That's awesome. I don't have a 3DS, but I have Netflix on my iPhone; it's always fun to watch anywhere.
Yeah. They also decided to split instant streaming and dvd's. So each of those options costs 7.99. If you want both it is now $16 a month.

Doesn't affect me. I don't want to bother with DVDs. Yeah, I know there's a lot of stuff on Netflix that isn't available for instant streaming but is available on DVD, but it's not worth messing with DVDs to me. I'm perfectly content with just instant streaming, so the new price policy is great for me.
