Negative Wi-Fi ratings?

Honestly curious, but when is it right to give someone a negative Wi-Fi rating? Only when you get scammed/the person was rude?

Because today, someone gave me negative rating because I took too long..? And I'm just wondering if I really did deserve it? It really just ruins my name y'know.. and I didn't even do anything bad..
 
No i think giving someone a negative rating for taking too long is completely uncalled for and you should message a mod to get that removed. It should only be used for being rude, not following the rules and scamming. Whoever did that must not understand we all have a real life and need to step away from the computer/laptop/tablet/phone etc
 
No I don't think you deserve it, and who cares if you took too long? Not everyone is fast.
You should also msg a mod so they can take the rating off

I just looked and looks like it's a newer member that is impatient. Heck if it were me i'd give em one right back for being impatient and trying to misuse the system then get mine removed

The use of the negative rating is really only to be applied when someone is deliberately trying to scam you or cause some sort of loss on your end. Otherwise it's a Neutral or a Positive. "Taking too long" doesn't really fall under that category unless you had recieved payment in advice, which I doubt.
 
I saw the negative wifi-rating when I left you mine. They must've just been very frustrated because it was probably late where they live and they had to go to bed. I can understand their frustration from their side, but I do think leaving a negative rating is a little uncalled for. You could PM them asking nicely if they could remove it (if that's even possible). You could also bribe them with money or hybrids.

Yeah i wouldn't if the OP wants to say something then they should do it. I guess we should cut this guy a little slack though because they're new and don't know how to use the wifi ratings?

I would only give a negative rating for scamming (the other user purposely denying an offer we agreed on, asking for something valuable and not finishing the deal) or town damage/vandalism (hopefully this doesn't happen too often on forums).

There are perhaps specific circumstances that would also require this but they are very rare if they even occur at all (harassment/verbal abuse etc.). More likely to happen with anonymous users i.e. Club Tortimer.

I don't think a user not replying in X amount of time is reason enough for negative. Really, if there was no in-game Wi-Fi involved, I don't think you can give a rating of any kind for it. Thus I find it hard to designate a specific use for "neutral" rating.
 
I think I was given a neutral rating once. This really annoyed me because this person is on tbt market place a lot. She was selling me some items for over 700 btb. She said she was getting the items and I waited for almost 2 hours. I finally went to finish my laundry, and when I came back ( 30 minutes later ) she was extremely annoyed. I remained polite and gave her a positive rating. I wish I hadn't bothered. And I should of told her how rude she was.

Anyway, I hope the mods remove that for you.
 
I suggest addressing this to a moderator.

That would be the best route to possibly getting this overturned.

And I would also suggest not being in touch with the person who gave you that "Negative" rating.
 
I think it is dumb when people give someone a Negative WiFi rating just because they took a while.
 
Agree with the others, it's unjustified and I hope you get it removed. I've never had to leave anyone a neg even when they've acted up a bit in my town or done something suspect. I just flick the wi fi and talk to them about it and usually we work it out. I don't want to ruin someone's rating over what could be a misunderstanding.

I feel sorry that you got a negative rating because that user was impatient.

I never heard of someone giving a negative rating out of impatience. However, I did get a positive rating for "no connection issues". I think Wi-fi ratings are to behavior rather than time and connectivity, but I liked that I got a positive rating for that, but that wasn't the main reason why I got it.

Oh, and for a future reference, I'm thinking negative wi-fi rating threads like this are similar to blacklist/scammer threads, so it's best not to discuss these on the forums.
