Need some opinions...

Right, I'm currently designing my island out and I have this one very large open area that I'm trying to figure out and what to do with it, and I do have one idea but I'm not sure if it looks OK and can't really figure out how to get it to work well... So I thought perhaps I could get some opinions on it.

So, the area in question is the large open area in the bottom right area of the island, and here's an image of it:

Right, a decent amount of space to work with, which is pretty great... but my idea was to have a little area in the center that goes down, kind of like a... crater, I guess. I thought it would be a great spot to make a little nature area and have the campsite in there, but the problem is I'm having issue making it... look nice?

I'm just having a hard time finding a middle ground for it. Too big and the cliff areas around the edge become too narrow and it becomes a bit jarring to look at, especially on the beach I would imagine, but too small and I have no room to work with.

I dunno. I wish the island was one acre wider.

Edit: I should note that the top right area that's currently 'ground level' is for my Museum.

Have you tried making it in the game? I have trouble with picturing how things look like in happy island designer so I have to do it in game to see if I like something or not.

I did a couple times, but I filled them in because of the problems I mentioned. I'm just having issues finding an in-between.

Have you tried putting the campsite in the first level of cliffs surrounded by the second level? Maybe it'll make the edges look less weird cause you don't have to deal with the spacing.

Or maybe a half crater instead of a full one?

I'm really determined to have the campsite at ground level surrounded by cliffs, like a crater. I'm too stubborn to give in at this point. XD

Or maybe a half crater instead of a full one?

I'll give this a shot later, perhaps I could make this work in the top left area.
