need some advice smh

I get bored with my town SO FAST and always want to reset after only a couple of months, but then I always hate having to go through unlocking everything again, and I've always wanted to have an actual developed town. I just...can't stay interested long enough. Do any of you have the same problem? More importantly, does anyone have any advice about staying committed to a town for longer than 5 minutes lol

yup. Another copy is the way to go. I have a main town, then a second town I play when I get bored. And I can restart one town without losing another, since I also quickly grow tired of towns.

I only have one copy of the game, but when I get bored with it, I either put it down and take a break or give myself a new goal to work towards in the game. For example, you could try to grow a certain amount of hybrid flowers, lay down new paths, work towards a new expansion, etc. and change the goal whenever you get bored of it.

Give yourself goals and work towards them. Since WW I always have tried to get every single villagers pic. That means that I'm encouraged to play every day to get to this goal. I also like;

Completing the museum (all categories!)
Getting the golden rod/slingshot/net
Collecting all the gyroids
Obtaining all the badges

More towns lead to more and more towns and the ennui eventually sets in because ...forgot where I was going here...

goals for sure. not sure about you personally, but it helps keep me motivated to try to do small things like buying out all the stores, hunting fossils,and fishing to complete my encyclopedia and catalogue. I see people making beautiful towns so i try to do something like planting bushes, finding nice QR codes for paths, etc. to get it all prepped for a dream address

Also what are you bored of?
The whole game? Your towns appearance? The labour of landscaping, designing?

If I were you I would buy another copy like everyone else says and go between them. Or (like I have done) just take a break from AC:NL and try some other games harvest moon for example and then once you long to play animal crossing again. Go back and enjoy your self!

Also what are you bored of?
The whole game? Your towns appearance? The labour of landscaping, designing?

I'm not bored of the game itself, it's more of just...I like the excitement of starting up a new town and meeting all your animals, etc and so then I get kinda tired of my town after a while lol :') I think I just need to focus on landscaping to help make my town look more visually appealing to me because I think the plainness of it is part of what's making me feel bored

You need to take a break and get back into it

That was me before when my town was undeveloped. What I did was try and obtain my dream villagers and go to dream towns for inspiration to decorate. A short break helps ease the stress sometimes.

Luckily I guess I have never had this issue, I get invested in my villagers and my town and want to become good friends with them to get their pictures, among other things. I also enjoy just walking around my town and simple things like fishing. I have had New Leaf since release and I have not once restarted my town, it's the same town it always has been. There have been a few times where I got sort of bored, but I just stopped playing and came back to the game a few weeks later.

I do get bored frequently, but since the update I've been playing properly more often again.
Have you tried focusing on collections? Badges, museum, catalogue? changing villagers often?
At times I had nothing else to do I would come on here and obtain items for people. That way I still had my town and had a reason to load up until I regained interest
