Trading Need serious help with villager trade! Help!

So I agreed upon a trade with someone and we both have 10 villagers- we wanna trade each one of our current islanders, SO
how are we going to invite them over if we don’t have an actual empty plot? We both only have them in boxes.

Can you invite another islander over to your island when someone on your island is still only in boxes with no empty plot of land. How would we work out this trade? Help!

as you need an actual empty plot to invite a villager i don’t think this trade is gonna be possible, but someone correct me if there is a way i’m overlooking

If you can get someone else to foster one of the villagers, just hold them for you (they'll TT them out when there's a place ready for the villager), then you can do it. I've seen foster or hold requests here before. I'm not sure what they usually cost, but... yea.

Yes, as Wander said, I think that's the only possible way for both people to get each adoptee Unfortunately, if there isn't a third person to help, only one person would be able to adopt, while the other would have no choice but to TT someone off their island to make room
