need opinions please...

so, I'm seriously considering resetting my town. The thing is, I'm not happy with the layout... and when I first started, I did not know that you could get more than the original 4 maps offered at the beginning... so I'm a little frustrated....

I tried to convince myself that I could make it work and be happy with it and I don't need to reset, so I stuck with it... I've had it for about a month now...and I have put so much work into it... but that nagging thought about the layout just keeps bugging me.. so I dunno if I should just give in and reset now and have to start all over... or leave it and try to make the best of it... but im kinda worried that I'll just let myself get even further along in the game and then deciding to do the reset anyways....

Now, having said all of that... if I DO go through with it... is anyone willing to hold some items and bells for me? Preferably someone I have visited before... I have trust issues lol. I really dont want to lose this stuff... and that has been the main reason for me not resetting yet.

If you did reset I wouldn't mind holding your stuff for you. I'm not sure we've met in game but I've held for others and everything went just fine. ^^

Personally, I think you should reset. You've had your town for a month, you've worked on it, but it's still not satisfying you. If your town is still irritating you and it's been a month, just imagine how it will feel a year from now. As for holding your stuff, my internet connection is not really the best, otherwise I would offer. Sorry, and good luck with your town.

One month is nothing. You can always TT forward a month to catch back up. (Set the beginning in-game day a month prior to today's date, so you don't mess up your event log, and then stop and continue playing daily like before when you catch up)
And of course, I'm sure I will be the first among many to offer to help you get back any fruit or flowers or tools you might have lost.

Yeah, sounds like resetting now is the way to go if it makes you happy. Otherwise you'll be thinks about "resetting" every time you play. And that's now a good feeling.

As Ash said, I'm also happy to help you with anything that you've lost to get you up to speed.

I stopped reading after you said you didnt like the layout. If you don't like the layout, you should most definitely reset.

I did reset, but the only thing is, I changed the date on the ds itself back to the original date of when I started my town, which was april 8th... I hope that doesnt really mess anything up... but I will play through a day shaking trees. talking to neighbors, getting my fossils and doing a small amount of fishing and bug catching and then change the date to the next day and so on until I catch up to the current day. I think Im on april 13th now. If anyone wants to come over and give me some design advice for landscaping and stuff that would be awesome, just let me know! I do still have to build another house for my daughter... I havent done it yet because I cant decide where I want to put it. I am trying to keep in mind where other public works projects will be... a placement for a fruit orchard... so on.

How many of each fruit tree do you guys think is good for a small fruit orchard? I want to have all the fruits, but not take up a ton of space.
