Need landscaping tips...

I've done a lot of landscaping on my town (planting flowers, placing pathways, etc.), but there are a few areas where I'd like some suggestions. There are some parts of the town where I haven't arranged the flowers yet (the west side along the cliff, and the south side), so I'd appreciate any ideas of what flowers to plant and what patterns to plant them in.

Also, there's a part of my town that isn't being used. It's the southwest side, under Rosie's and Snake's houses. I'm not quite sure what I want to do with that area. I might put a picnic blanket PWP when it finally gets suggested, but what would you recommend?

Here's something I like to do to give myself ideas:

Walk around town as if you were just playing normally. Take note on where you walk and landscape around that, you'd be surprised how natural and nice it looks and feels. You can get a lot of unique results, too.

Another thing I like to do is take note of the colours in certain areas and use flowers that match those colours on the colour wheel.
