Hey guys!

I’m trying to build a statue garden I’ve seen in New Horizons but in New Leaf.

These are the ones I'm trying to emulate:

But with PWP's instead rather than the outdoor furniture they have in NH. I'm not sure how to achieve the organization they have though since PWP's have to be a certain amount of space apart. I know I'd have to use paths to actually get the walk through they have, and I'm thinking I'll do that last. If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this and what to start with, I'd appreciate it! I'm thinking of using the statue fountain, Moai, stone tablet, maybe a pyramid, and metal benches.

Thank you!

I think it's a great idea! Unfortunately, you won't have as many statues to work with and you won't be able to put the bushes right next to them, but I'm sure you can still do something amazing in New Leaf.

I would start by planning out your design. Know which PWPs you're going to use and how much space each one requires. You'll need a pretty large area of your map to make it work. Figure out the paths and PWPs first, then fill in the bushes. You could also use some topiaries, the fountain, or flower arches.

Good luck! I'd love to see how it turns out!

i'd maybe plot reset A LOT first and get your villagers to move to the bottom part of the town for example - that way you'll have a bigger area in the upper part to build all of this.

it might be possible - i know that dandelions / dandelion puffs are inconvenient, but i think they'd look awesome there.

try to get your villagers to request you the drinking fountain, moai statue, statue fountain, stonehenge and maybe even the instrument shelter somewhere?

good luck, i can already picture it in my head :)

make a few designs to represent pwps, bushes, trees and flowers or whatever. look up the pwps you want and their dimensions to see how much space you need. eg, the log fire is 2x2 so if you wanted that just lay down four designs in a square to represent your pwp of choice.

if you're not hacking, remember that bamboo and other trees need at least one space between them and cedars can't grow in the south. bushes have less rules, you can have up to 12 altogether in a line (i think) and they can be planted in between trees and on the border of cobblestone. flowers are the only plant that can go on cliffs or right beside pwps, you can place those pretty much everywhere :)

dont be shy to plant bushes and trees and see how it looks because no one ever gets the landscaping right first try and it'll probably take some tweaking either way. good luck! it's a really good idea ♡
