Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a good day.
Im having a struggle with my town.
I Dont know how and where to place my paths.
TBH, I really hate my town, Im not going to reset because i'm really tired from talking to rover.
There is nothing in mind regarding the theme i am looking for. I just want a town that would work for every season.
hopefully that makes sense??
the placement of the villager houses is not permanent. I will be kicking out some with my amiibo cards and i am not willing to place paths in specific places to prevent villagers from moving in.

TDLR: Help me with 1- finding a path design that would work for every season (perhaps brick path, I dont want a cartoonish looking one) 2-placement of public work projects and paths.

Thank you!! :D

I just started with a simple small path from my house to the docks, maybe Re-tail. Mostly to avoid grass wear while bug hunting for bells on the island. Might be a good place to start.

Start wearing in some nice, natural dirt paths, then save your saplings, bush starts, and flowers to sculpt the paths. ^_^

when starting a new town, i always like to hoard as many bush/tree starts as i can! also get a hybrid garden going, and use patterns to plot where i want villagers to move in eventually.
if this is your thing, you could pick out a theme (zen, forest, city) for your town and use others for inspiration. picking out a colour scheme for your landscaping really helps too. good luck

I honestly think you should reset if you don't care about the layout. A layout can't be changed so you're stuck with it; you might as well be okay with your layout at least. This Pond and Rock Placement Guide should help you determine what you're looking for in a layout. It is more time consuming but in my experience, it was absolutely worth it.

If you decide to stay with this layout, then experimenting with paths by starting from your house to the train station or closest bridge is a good start. I also recommend placing your flowers at the beach until you have a good idea of what types of flowers you'd want to use. You can also use flowers to help line up your paths if you're unsure which bushes to use.

Good luck! :)

What I usually do is pick a starting point (Usually a house or build) and go from there! I have half the town in bamboo and the rest in flowers/paths
