Clothing Need help with anime dress before posting.

I've designed the whole dress but I'm stuck on the front. I need some guidance. I am trying to make this (and this) yuru yuri uniform.

However, as you can see from below the triangle pattern in the middle is really pixelated and I was wondering how I could minimize this with it still looking triangular.

ALSO, I've used the darkest colours. How would I create the ruffles in the skirt?

Does it need a bigger collar at the front as it can't be seen from afar, but can close.?

This is my third QR but I am completely stuck on these two things and need guidance.

I think if the collar were a bit bigger it might be cuter! Although I could already definitely tell what cosplay it was :3
I am not sure about the ruffles, maybe just dark red lines for the pleat shadow?

Thank you very much. >.< I already used the darkest red and I tried using the next shade down but it looked pink. I might have to spend some time re-doing the whole thing.

When the character wears it though you can't see those awkward lines.
