Need Help with 16 Villager Cycle...

Tom moved out half a month ago and I thought I could move on but I was wrong, I heard I could get him back with the 16 villager cycle I've moved out about 6 villagers moving on to 8, so My question specifically is, How will I know I will get Tom back come the 16th villager moves out? and will Tom just move in or is it random until he does?

Basically, after the cycle your town will forget you ever had Tom. That means he could move in randomly, or you could adopt him from another town. If you don't do the cycle, your town won't let you have Tom again.

As far as I know, it's 100% randomized, so you'll probably want to either get into the villager buying/trading community or else use the campsite reset method if you specifically want to seek him out.

It sounds like so miracle thing but it actually isnt lmao
It just gets rid of that villager you want from your game's memory so that you can potentially get him again.
So if he is going around you main street you cannot get him again in your town until he has disappeared.

Ah! tom is always wandering around main street! so what your saying is I will know hes adoptable again when he stops visiting?
