Need help on how to get villagers pictures

Hello every one I was wondering if any one know on how to get the pictures of the villagers who lives in your town ever since I bought the game I kept on writing to them and sending them small cheap gifts.

But I was wondering if there is a easier way to get their pictures and also how do you build your relationships faster with your villagers so please let me know on how to do these things x.x..

Talk to them often, send letters, do jobs for them, visit their house when they ask, give present and just be nice!

By any chance you know how long it took you to receive a picture from them cause I am still a newbie tho been only playing it for a week now and was wondering how long it took you to get there pictures from them..

I only have one and I got it yesterday! I've had the game since launch. I think I was lucky getting mine so soon, though.
