Oh, really thanks! How do I get the designs from dream towns?

Also if I get the design and save it over my main path design will it redo my paths with the design or delete my paths?

You just go visit the town through the dream and look around for Wendell. Talk to him, and if the pattern is available, he'll let you take it.

And yes, if you replace your current path design that you have laid out with the one you get from Wendell, the path on the ground will turn into the pattern you replaced it with. If that makes sense.
