Ok so here is my town layout. I honestly have no idea of where to put the campsite but I know you guys have great ideas for stuff like this so if you can give me any advice I would really appreciate it :)

I have my layout planned already around my plaza except for the directly eastern portion since there's the least amount of space there to work with.

i think it's nice when a campsite is somewhere a bit away from the centre/liveliness of the town, tucked away in a corner close to the sea or the cliff surrounded my lots of trees and flowers. where your river flows in the sea, at the right side of it, there is this bit of a sticking out piece of cliff, or in the upper right corner at the side of the trains tracks might also be nice!

Ooh, I once had my house in a really similar location to yours, and I put the campsite on the little nook on the other side of the river behind the house. That way, after starting the game it just took a second to look behind the house and check if there was a camper. I also didn't have to see the campsite when there was nobody there, since it's kind of ugly like that. It worked really well for me! :)

Would you guys recommend having a path leading to the campsite? Or how does that work if you want the campsite to feel like a real campsite? I would think using a path for that wouldn't feel so campy anymore.

That's a pretty cool idea I like that :)

The thing is tho is that I'm not really going to be using the campsite for villagers or anything like that, it's just for decoration, to make the town feel more complete, so I won't really care to have it in a convenient spot to check if there is a villager or not.

none or maybe a 1sq natural looking path?

Maybe the place above the bridge?
Or if you're going to go camp resetting, put it close to your Train Station

I'd say in that little bit at the bottom where the river goes into the sea. Just to the right of the river, where the camper's are right on top of the cliff. That way they have a view of the river and the sea.

Plus you can throw them off the cliff if they get annoying.

Haha only joking :D
