I'm getting ready to start working on an underwater room in my museum and I know I want to create a music box for it, but I'm having trouble deciding on the perfect song to have Cyrus use.

I want a soft, soothing song and if it sounds like it's underwater or anything like that, I consider that a bonus. Honestly, I'd be really happy if I could just have the sound of water, but since it's in the museum you can't hear the ocean and I don't really want to put a pond or some other water element in a room that's supposed to already be underwater.

So far, I've narrowed it down to the following songs:

  • Stale Cupcakes
  • K.K. Lullaby
  • Steep Hill
  • Marine Song 2001

Stale Cupcakes may be a bit overused, but I do like it and I think it works for what I want. The others are just really nice songs that also seem to fit. I'm also open to other suggestions if you have any.

What do you all think would be the best song for an underwater room? Alternately, if you can think of a way to get the sound of water without using an item that wouldn't make sense on the bottom of the ocean, that would be cool too.

I think K.K. Lullaby would suit underwater themed room since it just has a chill feel and kinda sounds fitting for an underwater theme *^_^*

Not gonna lie, I had Stale Cupcakes in my mermaid/underwater themed room for awhile but once I heard Marine Song 2001 customized as a music box I was stunned. It's such a beautiful song and even more so as a music box. So I'm seconding Marine Song 2001.

Out of the ones you listed, Marine Song 2001 is my personal favorite. In case you haven't already thought about it, K.K. Island is another song I would suggest. It's fairly calm, and it seems to be fairly overlooked. I almost never hear it being used.

I find K. K. Calypso to have a very tropical kind of sound. I have it in my bathroom :)

I think either Marine Song 2001 or K.K. lullaby!

Thanks to everyone for the advice! I decided to try out Marine Song 2001 first and it is really beautiful. I'll know for sure how it fits the room once I've finished decorating it...by next weekend, I hope.

I also just had a thought that I don't have to limit myself to only one music box since I'll leave them closed when I'm not in the room. So I might add another one later, and if so, I may go with K.K. Lullaby.
