Am I the only one who actually enjoyed doing the quiz and playing as the pokemon that I got by answering truthfully? It helps immerse you in the story by answering how you would answer irl instead of looking up the answers to artifically determine what you would get. Also, because you physically chose who you were, it felt more like you were an outside force looking in rather than getting into the story.

Nobody cared about the quiz until it was gone, lets be real. A majority people were using online guides anyways so I don't blame them for just letting us skip the quiz and just pick who we want.
That being said I might use the quiz in the next game and just go in blind because I can see the appeal of randomness. But I thought it was already confirmed to not be in it, so oh well. Fennekin and Riolu for me <3

Okay, so since there's no quiz I decided to go on word and make a 1 through 20 list of all the Pokemon you can play as in this game, going with grass Bulbasaur first, then fire, then water, and that same pattern for every region since that's the way it goes in the pokedex. Then I added Pikachu as number 19 and Riolu as number 20. After that I went to the Random Number Generator website and set the minimum as 1 and the maximum as 20. For my first Pokemon, the main character in SMD I got 12, so Piplup. Then I hit the button again and got 15, so my partner in the game will be Oshawott. Got to say I'm not a fan of a mono-water type team, but whatever. It's what I got and I'm going with it. Piplup and Oshawott it is.

Idk if it will work like this but in the other games, when you got your main character, you were asked to pick your partner. And none of the partners available would be the same type as you. So it might not be possible to have Piplup and Oshawott.

And I did this and got Chikorita and Fennekin, so I might do that instead of Fennekin and Riolu.
I considered this and decided to use the site again for my partner and got 5 so my team will be Piplup and Cyndaquil
Guess my team is sorted!
