Every day since I got a Wet Suit, I've been doing the diving trick daily to get PWPs. Because of this, I get pinged A LOT and my villagers will often try to give me nicknames. The thing is, I don't really like having a nickname, so I always refuse. But recently, Skye gave me the OPTION to choose a nickname, so I frustratingly put "Khaelis" as my nickname thinking it would just default to my player's name...

Nope. It treated "Khaelis" as if were a nickname. Now this keeps happening:

Uuuughh. THIS IS WORSE. ;~;

Wait whats the diving trick? I never heard of it. And lol i hate it when one of my villagers pick up anothers greeting or catchphrase.

Yeah, you know, it would be nice if somehow we were warned about this when we first started the game, because the greetings and phrases never quite go away.....

It's where you fill your inventory with nothing but flowers and sit in the corner of the water for 10~ minutes to 'reset' your villager, and they're likely to 'ping' you when they notice you. Basically, it lets you force villagers to ping you more frequently so you can get them to suggest a PWP more frequently.

Thanks ill try it

Ugh, the diving trick has not worked for me. But perhaps it's because I don't fill my pockets with nothing but flowers. I actually do go diving for crap. I mean, they ping me constantly because of the diving trick... but I'm not getting any PWP requests. Well, not the ones I want. So far, Timbra has requested 2 things - an ugly streetlight and a yield sign. Otherwise, they all want the abalone in my pocket. I will try with a pocket full of flowers.

It works with flowers because villagers can't request to buy or trade the flowers, and they can't sell or give you anything since your inventory is full. I can normally get a PWP within an hour, two if I'm unlucky.

It's not a trick!
It's just keeping out of sight for 5 minutes. O_o

Just stay away from the villagers you don't want PWP's from, and run by the one(s) you do want them from.

Make sure you have no bells, and an inventory full of shells or something.

They should ping you for a PWP.
If not, turn off without saving, and repeat until you get what you want.

I got every PWP I wanted that way. ^_^

It's works...but don't expect it to be a five minute ordeal. Sometimes you can go an hour or more without any luck. And the villager's will ping you with stupid questions like "What kind of shovel would you want in a nuclear explosion?' Or however that dialogue goes.

Yes I hate the nicknames. In my first town they all called me honeybun and they wouldn't stop. I have also put my own name in when they ask me to pick, it's better than the alternative. I've even had villagers ask if they can use that nickname lol. One of my villagers has decided to call me Sugar T and it's spreading, ugh. Lol I just remembered in my old game they called me Dainty T lol. So dumb
