Well, some internet providers give you access points. For example, I have DSL and I have two access points for it.

If not, then yeah I guess you need a new one.

Why not just go get you a wireless router? Those are pretty nice, and you could get a laptop too (if you need one). I remember when I tried one of those USB things about 3 years ago. It didn't work at all. The setup would never finish.
