My town just died and i lost everything. All my dreamies and bells boom gone! *Don't worry this isn't a charity thread and i don't want donations. I'm just a bit upset but i'm fine, i was going to rest anyway but just get someone to hold my items first but whatever... A little sad and annoyed but oh well....

edit 1: I have found the perfect town with the best layout i could find and i love it! There is a very small river and in that area is a enough space to put 10 villager homes! My mayor is Jessica and my town is Rosewood :)

*What i mean by this is that you can donate if you want but its not necessary. i don't want people thinking i made this thread just to get free stuff because i didn't :)

So sorry for your loss. I hope you're able to find a new town you'll love even more. I might stop playing if my town ever corrupted. :(

I think Nintendo needs to fix this next game. Data corruption is much more common in New Leaf than the Red Ring of Death was to the XBox 360

So sorry you lost your town :(, I know you said you don't want anything but if you do restart and need bells or fruits please let me know ^^. I also have lots of spare blue roses if you're interested.

I'm just back to say that there is no need for you guys to be scared. Yes, Animal Crossing New Leaf is one of the games that has the highest chance of data corruption, but it's still very rare that this happens. Especially with cartridges the chance of corruption is very small. It's better just to enjoy the game and don't worry too much. The only thing I would recommend not to do is quitting while saving as this makes the chance of corruption more likely.

Physical which i find rather strange that it corrupted...

Exactly what happened with my boyfriend's game. He has a physical copy also. We're not sure what happened, but from he told me it sounded like he ejected the game catridge without closing the software or turning off the system. And even then I'm not sure if that's what caused it or not.

I'm really sorry this happened to you. It'd be devastating to lose all that progress and time...

How high is the risk compared to the Red Ring of Death actually?

I think the no 1 cause of corruption is factory problems or material problems when building the SD card.

I don't think there're any numbers who would make it possible to compare it to the red ring on the Xbox360. Also, factory problems of course.. It seems like there're a lot of more date corruption cases when it first came out comparing to now so maybe Nintendo did change something.
