The first few trailers didn't appeal to me much, simply because... well, they don't appeal to me. It was when Natal -- dang it, Kinect -- was shown that made me lend them my ears.
Kinectimals. Yes, the tiger was very cute. Just sayin'. But anyway, I like how one can interact with digital pets in a way that I've never seen before. The thing that blew me away the most, though was when the little girl hid from it. When the Kinectimal noticed that she was gone, it showed me just how smart Kinect's camera is. It was right then that I said, "I MUST get this console." The other games just added on to my desire for it, so I don't see any reason to ramble on about them.
It may be my lack of Microsoft knowledge/prowess, but it seemed like much of the conference was geared toward the casual audience, and from the sound of some fans, it looks like they managed to pull a Nintendo E3 '08 -- to a certain extent, anyway. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Nonetheless, the conference was very interesting, to say the least. I'm very impressed with what Microsoft has to offer with Kinect -- very impressed. I can say that Microsoft just brought another customer on board, and that's coming from a long time Nintendo fan.
What are your thoughts on Microsoft's Press Conference? (Forgive me for sounding rushed here, I'm a bit tired.)
