I can't aggree, or disagree with you, i've never played a side scrolling Metriod
Hmm... I really disagree.... First of all, Rare never made Metroid games... It was Retro Studios. Second, since Nintendo is starting to innovate, they kinda need to start changing their franchises. I mean, Metroid was once about singleplayer, but now they're going into multiplayer... At least with hunters. MP3 will be singleplater focused.

anyways, they could have made a whole new thing here for a sci-fi multiplayer game, they didnt need to use metroid. you're too young to appreciate the classic metroid games.

I have more things than you think, and I've experienced Super Metroid. Yes, it IS one of the best games of all time, and nothing can beat the sense of lonliness in it, but what IS Metroid all about?
Samus Aran is a bounty hunter. In Metroid games before, she was only sent on errands (in a short description, saving planets from evil forces.) We never saw her hunt bounty. And if we did, she had no competition. There is no bounty without competition, so we never really SAW a Metroid game that was full realized by Nintendo.
And Nintendo is NOT turning into Sony, don't even try and say that. Sony is going down the Spec Alley, while Nintendo keeps to Videogame Road.
