My New Leaf copy broke!!!!!

My copy of New Leaf broke and I'm so sad cuz I lost all that progress and I worked so hard and I don't know if I can fix it what happens is I'm on the 3DS menu and I put the cartridge in and the game slot is blank and I don't know if I can fix it I think I can but I don't know how if someone knows anything about this please help me.

You've probably already tried, but did you try blowing on the cartridge or on the inside? There could be dust that's preventing it from reading. If it's actually broken, what caused it?

Yeah, try blowing in the card slot. Mine has done that before but blowing into the slot fixed it.

This happen to me before try holding down the cartridge when in inserting the game and see if the game pops up

Isn't it possible to get the saves from the files stores in the cartridge or your SD card? I'd asssume that would be possible somehow, which if so, would still require you to buy a new game but at least you'd be able to get your town back.

Have you tried calling costumer support or checking the warranty? Does it work with other games (if other games aren't working then it's the slot that's broke and not the game)?

Ya I think about now I'm gonna try to send it to Nintendo or something so ya but thanks for help.
