My finger slipped on a 99 fish streak

Anyone want to cry with me? At least this being my third attempt at the streak i caught 2 more large fish, but i still feel like death

it's a nook miles objective i'm pretty sure. to catch fish in a streak without letting one slip.

but OUCH that hurts.

Just FYI, if you close your software after messing up prior to the game autosaving, you can jump back in and it will keep your streak alive.

Does it reset if you need to re-cast your line or only when you fail at actually catching the fish?
