My experience island hoping in full dodo gear

So I had 12 tickets in order to find a jock or an uchi. I wore every dodo thing except pants. so t shirt, face thing and slipers.

1. Elivs, normal island
2. Canberra, foreign fruit island
3. Norma, money rock island
4. Cranston, normal island.
5. Flurry, normal island.
6. Pierce, money rock island. (adopted)

I took Pierce in a sec since he was the first jock I saw and I was getting desperate.

Welp. I think dodo items do bring luck.

i think that's just rng doing it's work. nothing about that says the dodo items caused any of that to me.

I should try this - I only have the shirt and face mask. Island's full but I could use foreign fruits + flowers!
I've also heard that clapping at Orville until he blushes is good luck, but I'm not holding my breath.

edit: I'd like to mention it's likely not going to work because Nook Miles Tickets are determined the moment it's "printed"

Where do you get the Dodo clothing items?

I told my husband about this and he tried it, for him it only helped on the first island of the day. It gave him the money rock island as his first island. I’m not sure if there is any truth or if it was just really lucky rng to be honest!

Is there any specific thing you need to do to get them to mail you? They've only sent me a shirt so far. I've been on dozens of island tours.

Perhaps it is tied by how much you travel? I visit numerous islands every day so perhaps you are awarded items by how many flights you take. Oterwise I can't wrap my head around the fact that you don't have all items yet. :-/

I think it referred only to island types! because I'm sure villagers are random.

I tried the tricks that were said in another thread. I wore my dodo shirt and clapped until the dodo got shy and i was holding my watering can before entering the airport. I got hybrid windflower island in my first try and and regular tulips in the second. It might be a coincedence or it really works, in the first island of the day at least.

Have you guys ever gotten the flower hybrid island? I always seem to get the Island with my fruit and flowers and am getting a bit sick of it. I haven't seen the bamboo island yet either.

I've been to Hybrid Flower island once, then to Big Fish island (which also had hybrids). Other than those two occasions I haven't been able to go back to either of them.

I've lost track of how many times I've seen Bamboo island and Fidget Spinner island...

I wore my shirt and clapped at Orville a couple times and got a basic island... it had my native flower and fruit. i only visited one island tho but i'm definitely gonna keep trying lol
