If your graveyard is on the second or third tier, you could terraform the holes you want by digging into the cliff, leaving the hole, and filling back in to where you started, if that makes sense? It'll take a bit of planning and effort, but it's an idea.

WOW that idea is CHEFS KISS. A grave yard is not at all part of plans but maybe for the next Halloween! that is so smart, thanks for that tip
